Thank you Leroy! I’ve had a basement mouse issue going on several years now, and Excel is the second company I’ve hired to try to deal with it. Both companies use the same blood thinner types of traps, both indoor and outdoor, and I’ve had limited success. The problem improves and is under control, but never goes to zero.
Leroy from Excel came today, his first visit to my house, and took the time to understand my problem and look for the source. He found two holes behind insulation where the critters were clearly coming in and out from, and plugged them.

Second, Mike checked up areas I had no suspicion that it needed to be checked and sure enough found out it will need to be treated. We bought a house in northern New Jersey and need preventative pest control services. We contacted Mike in Excel. Mike did the house inspection and provided a quotation. He explained all the pest control practices that we will see at our house and managed the entire process from the initial baiting stations installation to optimize the station layout after he inspected the actual work with us until we were satisfied. Got a bill in the mail from a company that i have never used claiming that they performed service. The service address had the old owners name but the bill to and mailing had my name. They must have went out of their way to find my name online to bill this annual fee. When i called in the rude agent said that its not a bill but a quote in case i want to continue. That’s even shadier cause it literally has a service date on it and the bill says 30 days past due.
I said i have no interest in “continuing” service nor paying a bill for something i never asked for and to take it up with the old owner who hired them. She then said that if thats the case the company will come to my house and take out the system. Obviously im calling the cops if they come on my property but this whole situation is so shady.

I was actually preoccupied playing Overwatch when he arrived for the initial service so I missed his calls. Very happy with the service!! I made an appointment on Tuesday morning and they were able to come the same day in a matter of hours. We had a yellow-jackets nest outside our house for a couple of weeks and with this company got resolved in the same day. Dylan was our technician, he was very knowledgeable and patient with all my questions. We signed up for the membership which I think it’s absolutely worthy. We had Phil come to take care of our Yellowjacket problem in the yard which he did an amazing job. Phil was very informative and polite, he took his time to do the job thoroughly and got started right away. Definitely recommend Phil if you have any pest problems.
Robert is amazing!! While he was spraying for mosquitoes, he found a dead dog. It was oir neighbor’s dog who had gone missing a month ago. Robert was generous enough to put the dog in a garbage bag and, at my request, left it in our backyard so as to give to the neighbors to bury. Robert was incredibly helpful and fast thinking in a strange circumstance. I am deeply grateful to him, as I’m sure the neighbors will be when they can put their dog to rest.

Poor service, leaves a mess half the time, never kills the bugs, bothers the snot out of you with duplicative calls, emails and spam about ‘thank you for choosing Excel!!” But the actual product itself is trash. Avoid. Unless you hate money and time, then by all means, this is the pest control company for you

Truly professional, exceptional, expert, kind service from Phil I. He took the patient time to answer all my questions fully and explain things to make me understand and learn about the pests around my property and how to treat them. Phil I. took care of my property’s pest problem fully. He didn’t try to hound on selling me something I didn’t need (as I’ll be moving soon). Was honest and transparent about pricing. (Other service companies would act like “used car” salespeople; hounding to oversell to the point of annoyance dishonesty – where you don’t want to purchase their service). We have used Excel for many years and have been generally pleased with their services. But I’m writing a review after all this time to give a special shout-out to Mike O. and the entire tech team who recently helped us to relocate several raccoons who had been invading my deck on a nightly basis! This was a (costly) additional charge beyond the Quarterly service, but it was definitely worth it! Mike worked with me to insure that the job got done properly – even though that meant extending the number of days that the traps were needed (without charging me extra). The technicians (especially Shane) were very knowledgeable and patient. They all helped to make a very stressful situation much more manageable. And I’m happy to report that (so far) there’s no sign of any more of those masked critters!
