Restaurant Pest Control Prep Sheet

Access

  • We will need access to all areas of your restaurant, including locked areas like offices, locker rooms, break rooms, storage rooms, and garbage areas
  • Ask staff to put all personal items away in lockers, or take them home

Bar

  • Clean the entire bar area thoroughly, including areas under and behind all equipment
  • Put away all food and garnishes
  • Move all exposed barware, bottles from the beverage rail, condiments, dishware, glassware, silverware, and utensils onto the bar top
  • Cover all items that have been moved to the bar top with a plastic sheet, plastic wrap, or garbage bags
  • Cover the nozzles on all beer taps and the pourers on any open bottles
  • Empty or cover the openings of any ice bins

Dining Room

  • Clean the entire dining area thoroughly, including areas under tables, booths, chairs, and around wait stations
  • Pull up all booth seats and keep seats clear
  • Remove any items being stored under seats and tables
  • Move all condiments, dishware, glassware, menus/beverage lists, napkin holders, silverware, utensils, and table cloths to one single table or countertop
  • Cover all items that have been moved to a table or countertop with a plastic sheet, plastic wrap, or garbage bags

Kitchen

  • Clean entire kitchen area thoroughly, including areas under and behind all equipment
  • Put away all exposed foods and ingredients
  • Wherever possible, move all equipment, storage racks, and shelves at least 18-24 inches away from the wall
  • Remove all exposed items like condiments, cookware, dishware, glassware, silverware, and utensils from open shelves that are attached to the wall and from hooks on the walls. Move all items to a countertop
  • Remove all items from lowerators and other wheeled carts and equipment and place all items on a countertop
  • Cover all items that have been moved to a countertop with a plastic sheet, plastic wrap, or garbage bags
  • Cover all items on shelving units that have been moved away from the wall. All items, including the bottoms of the items, must be covered. Do not simply cover the whole shelving unit
  • Cover all fryers with metal trays making sure that no oil is exposed
  • Empty or cover the openings of any ice bins
  • Cover or remove only the nozzles of drink dispensers

 

NOTE: Do not drape plastic cover over items on countertops and tables. Plastic cover must be tucked in under items around the edges, making sure that all items are thoroughly protected.
